WHY?
The contest is about making our children believe that
CHANGE is POSSIBLE and that THEY CAN be the CHANGE.
HOW?
1) Share the idea of the contest with the age group (10
to 13 years).
2) Select a mentor teacher and form teams (not more than
5 students per team)
3) Get each team to follow the simple 4 step process (FEEL,
IMAGINE, DO, SHARE)
TIPS FOR TEACHERS
1) Inspire the students and make them see that changing
lives can be meaningful & fun and that through this
process they can also ‘be changed’.
2) Try to get them to engage with real people and real
issues that effect the students directly- no matter how
simple they are and that can be done by them!!
3) Help them think beyond the “first answer”
and guide them to include as many of their school mates
in the act of giving.
4) Help children to think of change beyond ‘Money’
or ‘Government solutions’!!
5) Remind them to document the process and record the
number of people affected by the change. |

The timeline has been
kept flexible so that every school can fit it into their
timetables.
Since we are aware that some schools might have exams
or holidays during this time, please choose ANY WEEK from
15th August to 3rd October for the contest from ‘idea
to implementation’
Since India will be engaged in ACTS OF GIVING during 27TH
SEPT to 3RD OCT ,we encourage schools to participate during
that one week, but the contest is open from AUGUST 15
to OCTOBER 15- requirement only that the implementation
phase lasts not more than ONE week during that period...
Looking forward to your change making stories !!! |

We will looking
for ideas that have the:
1. Potential to benefit a large
number of people.
2. Potential to look at an existing problem with
a fresh perspective.
3. Potential to effect significant
change in ONE WEEK.
4. Potential to not only see change in others
lives, but in the lives
of the students doing it. |
